On-the-run pallet inspector
The empty pallet inspector is intended for checking pallet integrity and dimensions. It is usually used together with a bad pallet magazine or a discarding pallet conveyor. The check is performed on-the-run, e.g. pallets do not need to stop.

Construction
The inspector is based mainly on a welded frame which supports load segments. The segments consist of arms with rollers mounted on their ends and are driven pneumatically. The whole frame is mounted above a roller conveyor. Pallets pass under the frame and are pressed by the load segments with controlled force, which simulates the weight of load. The inspector checks pallet integrity and dimensions. If it detects a damaged pallet, it sends a signal to the control system and the pallet is discarded from the line.
