Empty pallet turner

The turner is intended for tilting empty pallets so that they can be transported in vertical position. It is used wherever limited space does not allow standard pallet transport.

Construction

The turner consists of a tilting frame with 2 parallel arms and a narrow roller conveyor which is mounted between their ends. This frame is situated at the end of a 2-row pallet chain conveyor and waits in horizontal position for a pallet to drive in. After that it tilts by 90 degrees and the vertically standing pallet is transported away. The tilting mechanism is driven pneumatically, conveyor drives are electric (SEW Eurodrive).
