Роботизированная паллетизация коробок из 2 линий

One of the projects that our company worked on was a complete palletising solution for boxes with plumbing material. The project is destined for an Austrian customer and requires palletisation of several different types of boxes from 2 production lines. Boxes need to be put on EURO pallets 1200x800 mm or ISO pallets 1200x1000 mm, then stretch wrapped and finally conveyed to the ramp for unloading by lift truck.

A Kawasaki industrial robot with a special gripping head designed by MANEX was used as the palletising unit. The multifunction head is able to transfer boxes from the infeed conveyor onto the pallet (by means of vacuum cups) and also to grip an empty pallet from the stack on the floor and place it on the pallet conveyor at the palletising position (by means of gripping hooks). The palletiser itself is further complemented by a transport system for boxes including a turning device, pallet transport system and a wrapping machine. The overall system performance is about 360 boxes per hour.
