MANEX finished installation of a palletising line for shrink-wrapped packs of artificial sweeteners in the CzechPak Manufacturing company. The system features our innovated single-column palletiser with a roller shutter head. The multipacks are made up of shrink-wrapped trays with plastic bottles.
The packs arrive to the palletising line on infeed product conveyors. From the conveyor they are pushed in rows on a layer forming table of the palletiser. A complete layer is gradually assembled here according to a desired format. The layer is then shifted into a palletiser transfer head where it lays on a closed roller shutter. The head transfers products over a pallet and deposits them smoothly by opening the roller shutter. Cardboard layer pads are withdrawn from the magazine and placed on the relevant product layers by the standalone layer pad dispenser. The completed pallet is finally ejected from palletiser and a fresh empty pallet is brought in to restart the process.
The system is designed to work efficiently in the middle-range throughput of about 100 layers per hour. It handles several layer formats with different pack sizes. Both standard EURO pallets and ISO 1200x1000 mm pallets can be used.
The single-column design together with the roller shutter head brings advantages of the small footprint and universal use for different products.
